The Search Committee and The Leadership Team, unanimously recommends DANIELLE KILGORE as the candidate for our Pastor of Outreach and Missions

Please join us Sunday, May 6th after church for lunch as we get to know Danielle, her story, and her heart for our church and the ministry she will lead.  There will be time for questions and answers followed by a congregational meeting where we will vote on her call.

FROM THE SEARCH COMMITTEE:

As a search committee we were tasked with finding a candidate who deeply loves Jesus and is clearly called by God to serve the church.  We were also tasked with finding someone who would be a unique and diverse voice on our pastoral team and in our church so that we have the opportunity to do broader ministry to a larger and more diverse grouping of people within our church and throughout our community.

We could not be more pleased to have found Danielle who is a home run in every area.

Coming from a very different church context, the trajectory of her call looks a little different than many of the candidates we reviewed.  While her road to vocational ministry has been windy, it has been clearly marked and affirmed by her church, and our denomination.

We think her background in education and her entrepreneurial spirit will allow Marin Covenant to take a deeper step in mission.  We long to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in Marin and throughout the whole world, and we think Danielle is the right person to help us get there.

MORE ABOUT DANIELLE :

Originally, from Arlington, TX, Danielle came to Atlanta to attend college on a track scholarship. Upon graduation, she joined her first covenant church and immediately fell in love with it. She served as the Marketing Director and then went on to become the Youth and Children’s Director and Praise and Worship leader for seven years. During the day, Danielle worked as an elementary school teacher. While attending Kingdom Builders Covenant church she met her now husband of eight years, William. In 2015, they were blessed with a daughter, Harper Avery (2).

In 2007, Danielle rededicated her life to the Lord. From that, point on, she has dedicated her life to serving the Lord with gladness. Her desire is to see as many people as possible experience the presence of God in a real way. She believes that God has called her to serve those without a voice and those who have lost their way. Mark 16:15 says,” Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creations.” That scripture has been the platform of Danielle’s ministry. Her desire is that God would use her in such a way that every person that meets her will know that God is real and that God is love.

A WORD FROM DANIELLE:

Danielle is excited about this new season of life and ministry here in Marin. From the people to the building God’s anointing is clearly present. “Marin is such an asset to the community, there’s just one problem, and that is that MCC is Marin’s best kept secret.” Danielle has a heart for lifestyle evangelism. She believes that the best way to draw people to Christ is by simply inviting others to share life with us as journey towards Christ.

Danielle wants to help the church build up its reputation in the community so that more and more people will be open to the love and grace of Jesus. She wants to help the church be seen as a vital part of a person’s growth and empowerment  so that God’s people can courageously invite people into the kingdom of God!

Romans 10:12-15 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
