what happens in sunday school?
Sundays at 9am, our middle school students gather in the youth room for fellowships & waffles for the first 20 minutes of church. We then have a discipleship teaching and small group time followed by a game. On the first Sunday of the month, middle school students join the worship service - they can either sit with their families or sit with us in the front left section.
what happens on a wednesday night?
We have twice a week programming for middle schoolers (YARD) and high schoolers (HOUSE) that allow students to move towards Christ. These programs happen all year with short breaks in August, December and June for holidays and school transitions.

Wednesdays at 7pm, we gather at MCC for fun, fellowship & a gospel centered teaching. This night is our student's favorite time together & a great place for students to invite their friends. Our Wednesday nights consist of games, worship, teaching, and small groups. Our teachings are Scripture based, and focus on building foundations in the gospel & learning how to practically live out faith in the everyday world. After our teaching, students are divided into small groups where they process what they learned, ask deeper questions about the topic, and close in prayer. This is our favorite night of the week!

who is part of the staff team?
Our student ministry team is made up of paid staff (pastor and directors) along with volunteers. Our volunteers serve as small group leaders. They stay with the same small group for a whole year to walk alongside students in their faith journey. We intentionally interview and vet each member of the team to make sure that they are a good fit for serving in our ministry. Every person on our team has undergone a background check and a live scan. They have also taken the Sexual Abuse Awareness training and a twice a year training specific to leading a small group. Our youth ministry culture is such that our leaders have a huge heart for Jesus and a passion for walking alongside this next generation. Reach out to shelly@marincovenant.org, if you have any further questions.
